KHOROG-WAKHAN-MURGHAB
Day 1. Meeting with a driver at the hotel / homestay in Khorog. Heading to the Wakhan valley of Tajikistan. Visiting the ruins of Kah-Kaha and Yamchun fortresses, Bibi Fotima hot-spring, pre-Islamic shrines, Museum of Sufi Muboraki Vakhoni, astronomer and scholar of the 19th century. Overnight in a homestay in Hisor village. 245 km
Day 2. Engels Meadows Trek. Highlights: great view of immense Engels (6507 m) South Face, breath taking view of the whole Wakhan valley, both Afghan and Tajik. Overnight in a guesthouse in Hissor village. 0 km.
Day 3. Departing Wakhan and heading to Bulunkul (the coldest place in Tajikistan) along Pamir River via Khargush Pass (4344 m). 2-3 hours trek to the viewpoint of the pass. Overnight in a homestay in Bulunkul settlement. In the evening discovering the village/playing altitude volleyball with locals. Overnight in a homestay in Bulunkul. 130km
Day 4. Driving to Alichur for a half-day yak safari to observe the wildlife (in particular of Marco-Polo sheep and Ibex).In the evening drive to Murghab. Overnight in a homestay/hotel in Murgab. 145km.
